A Leader Who Carried the Vision Forward

When I became chairperson of NET in 2005, the movement was at a crossroads. We had grown rapidly, but our structures had not kept pace. We needed accountability, transparency, and a vision that could sustain the next decade.

The first thing we did was listen. We visited every campus branch, talked to every team leader, and asked one question: what does NET need to remain faithful to its calling? The answer was consistent: stronger leadership development, better church partnerships, and a clear financial model.

Over the next four years, we established regional coordinators, formalised church partnership agreements, and created the first NET leadership training curriculum. By the time I stepped down in 2009, NET had doubled its campus presence and established a reputation for integrity and impact.

What I am most proud of is not the numbers. It is the leaders who emerged during that period. Several are now pastors, educators, and community leaders across Kenya. NET did not just grow, it multiplied.
