From a Campus Outreach to a Nationwide Movement

In 1998, a group of students at the University of Nairobi felt God calling them to reach beyond their campus. They had seen how the gospel could transform lives in their own community, and they believed students across Kenya needed the same encounter.

What started as informal evangelistic outreach to nearby campuses quickly grew into something none of them had imagined. Within two years, NET teams were visiting universities in Kisumu, Eldoret, and Mombasa. The message was simple: Jesus Christ changes lives, and students are the key to reaching communities.

By 2005, NET had established a presence on over 15 campuses across Kenya. The movement was no longer just a Nairobi initiative. It had become a national network of student leaders, church partners, and alumni who shared a common calling.

Today, NET Ministries Trust continues that original vision. The name has changed, the structure has matured, but the heart remains the same: reaching students with the gospel and equipping them to transform their communities.
